In this op-ed, Caitlyn Carpenter outlines our Fossil-Free Research campaign, including ACURM's recommendation for a faculty vote on a Fossil-Free Research policy and President Paxson's inaction on the issue. Caitlyn connects the FFR vote to larger issues of faculty governance and academic freedom at Brown.

Just as Dissociate Now lays out the impetus and reasoning for dissociating from the fossil fuel industry, The Respect Report poses why and how Brown must also begin to address issues of local environmental injustice. It serves as a historical collection, a starting point for future advocacy work, and a framework through which to view the institution’s role in the city it occupies.
